You've just donated $5.00 to the Mano Down Institute!

(Actually, Rock Content made the donation in your behalf)

This year we have donated 5 dollars from you (and all other Rockers) to the Mano Down Institute, a non-profit organization that promotes the autonomy and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and other disabilities. We’ve chosen this nonprofit as they’re in need.

A brief story about Mano Down

Changing the word “exclusion” to “OPPORTUNITY” is one of the premises of Instituto Mano Down, a non-profit organization that promotes the autonomy and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and other disabilities.

Mano Down emerged from Leonardo Gontijo's love for his younger brother, Eduardo – also known as Dudu do Cavaco; musician with Down syndrome.

The story begins in 2011, when Léo publishes the book “Mano Down – Stories of a brother in love” and, from there, begins a trajectory to give visibility and create opportunities for people with Down syndrome to be included in society and recognized by its capabilities.

The project, which initially focused on socializing people with Down, started to gather families and grow. In a short time, Léo and Dudu were traveling all over Brazil taking their history through musical lectures.

From the legal formalization of the Institute in 2015 to the strategic restructuring in 2017, the Institute has been evolving and transforming itself, to act in all phases of life for people with intellectual disabilities and to promote development, autonomy and inclusion.

Today, hundreds of families are served by the Institute and thousands of people are directly or indirectly impacted by Mano Down's actions.

By encouraging development, providing visibility and opportunities, the Mano Down Institute has been showing society the potential of people with disabilities for 10 years, transforming lives and generating a positive impact on society.

Together in 2022 we’re already making the world a better place as one! We hope this “gift” lites you up and warms your hearts, as each one of you makes a difference. We salute you!
